This is the textual description that Homer gave in the Iliad of the shield of Achilles,
often represented in Greek figurative art of round form, developed in concentric sections within which
scenes of daily life, war and agriculture were represented.
We decided to reinterpret this incredible work by eliminating human figures and keeping only the natural elements,
starting from the sea waves that frame, and dissolve into small dots that are stars and set like dew above
blades of grass, which found their roots on islands of earth suspended in the air. At the center remains the Sun, flanked by two half-moons, which marks the Time, and from which all the energy that pervades the design is released.
